The Birthplace of our greatest playwright, Stratford Upon Avon lays on the River Avon in the Midlands. You can visit Holy Trinity Church where Shakespeare was baptised and is his final resting place. You can see the very room in which William was born at the birthplace and where his father had his glove making business. Close by is the house where his daughter lived and just outside of Stratford you can also pay a visit to Mary Arden’s Farm and Anne Hathaway’s Cottage.
